The Perfect Analogy

The following was evidently written by a UAL Captain.  I haven't changed a word.

Think of this in the context of Obama's statement prior to his first election when he stated that he would dramatically change America.  He is succeeding by going around Congress, the Constitution, and the people.  It's not ineptitude or incompetence, as many believe.  It's something much worse.

This article is worthy of serious thought no matter where you stand on the political spectrum.  Unfortunately half the country is oblivious to anything beyond a cell phone and social media.   But they vote.
..................................................................

The PERFECT analogy!!!!
LOCKED OUT OF THE COCKPIT

From a former Navy fighter pilot and a retired UAL Captain

"We are all flying on the Germanwings plane, with a twisted pilot at the
controls.  Will we just wait, and assume the "Crash Position"?

"The 'real' pilot was locked out of the cockpit.

"That set of circumstances finally revealed the full horror of the crash
of Germanwings flight 9525.  Co-pilot Andreas Lubitz waited for the
pilot to leave the cockpit, then locked the door to prevent his
re-entry. Then Lubitz, for reasons unknown and perhaps unknowable,
deliberately steered the jet into a harrowing 8-minute plunge ending in
an explosive 434 mph impact with a rocky mountainside.  150 men, women and children met an immediate, unthinkably violent death.

"Lubitz, in his single-minded madness, couldn't be stopped because
anyone who could change the jet's disastrous course was locked out.

"It's hard to imagine the growing feelings of fear and helplessness that
the passengers felt as the unforgiving landscape rushed up to meet
them.

"Hard ... but not impossible.

"Because America is in trouble.  We feel the descent in the pits of our
stomachs.

"We hear the shake and rattle of structures stressed beyond their
limits. We don't know where we're going anymore, but do know it isn't
good. And above all, we feel helpless because Barack Obama has locked us out.

Image result for photos of obama"He locked the American people out of his decision to seize the national  healthcare system.

"Locked us out when we wanted to know why the IRS  was attacking conservatives.

"He locked us out of having a say in his decision to tear up our immigration laws, and to give over a trillion dollars in benefits to those who broke those laws.

"Obama locked out those who advised against premature troop withdrawals.

"Locked out the intelligence agencies who issued warnings about the growing threat of ISIS.

"He locked out anyone who could have interfered with his release of five Taliban terror chiefs in return for one U.S. military deserter.

"And, of course, Barack Obama has now locked out Congress, the American people, and our allies as he strikes a secret deal with Iran to determine the timeline (not prevention) of their acquisition of nuclear weapons.

"Was Andreas Lubitz depressed, insane, or abysmally evil when he decided to lock that cockpit door and listen to no voices other than those in his head?  Did he somehow believe himself to be doing the right thing?

"The voice recordings from the doomed aircraft reveal that as the jet
began its rapid descent, the passengers were quiet.  There was probably
some nervous laughter, confusion, a bit of comforting chatter with
seatmates, followed by a brief period in which anxiety had not yet
metastasized into terror.

"It was only near the end of the 8-minute plunge that everyone finally
understood what was really happening. Only near the end when they began to scream.

"Like those passengers, a growing number of Americans feel a helpless
dread as they come to the inescapable conclusion that our nation's
decline is an act of choice rather than of chance. The choice of one
man who is in full control of our 8-year plunge.

"Lubitz was a nutcase.  But now we are on a 'plane' piloted by a
narcissistic megalomaniac who has locked everyone out of his cockpit.

"It is very sad that our first African American President will be judged
in history as the most inept, corrupt, wasteful, subversive,
destructive, and divisive President ever. A man twice elected because
of the color of his skin rather than the content of his character.

"Electing the former First Lady as president, who also happens to be a narcissistic megalomaniac, because she is a woman will likewise result in the continued practice of semantics over substance and deception over reality."

  1. Very uplifting, Ralph. And perhaps just a wee bit simplistic.

    1. I remember an "uplifting" story from my childhood called, "The Little Engine That Could," or something like that. Fantasy beats reality, but we are in a critical time in our history and many of us are concerned with the world we are leaving to our grandchildren. Sometimes an analogy has to be simplistic to make a point. Too many Americans can't see the forest for the trees.

  2. You're missing the point about being simplistic. Your biased characterizations of people and interpretations of current events are simplistic and specious. It's only been an "eight year plunge" and it's caused by only one man? C'mon, Ralph, you can do better than that. Elevate your diatribes.

    1. To "Anonymous" - We seem to have opposing opinions, but I put my name on mine.
Yep. I sure do have a bias. You obviously have a bias too. Most thinking people have a bias. Your statement that my opinions are "specious" is itself specious. You evidently don't see nor understand where your "leader" is taking this once great country. The writer I quoted only used the 8 year plunge to tie it to his previous statement regarding the 8 minute plunge. It was simply a literary device. I doubt that elevating my "simplistic" diatribes would help much. Someone said, "There is none so blind as those who will not see."

    2. I believe I see a lot more than you, Ralph. I see our country's "plunge" as being the result of societal, economic, political and evolutionary causal factors...a combination of many things rather than the result of one President's actions.

    3. Far be it of me to challenge the "all seeing, all knowing," so I will agree on your point. Of course the slide started long ago as a result of the things you mentioned, but also the nations moral compass was lost along the way. To my mind that figures into all the things you mentioned. But for a country to elect someone with no credentials based on the color of his skin was insane. Now that same mentality would have us believe we should elect Hillary because she's a woman. Obama has stated clearly that he intends to dramatically change America. He is keeping his promise. He is accelerating the "plunge" at breath-taking speed.

  3. That was the best Blog yet Ralph. The quote at the beginning hit the nail on the head.
It really scares me that Hillary will be our next president. My son and I were talking about that. He doesn't like to get into political discussions as a general rule, but he was at a function and a group of women were talking about Hillary. He strolled over and listened a little and finally asked why they would vote for her I believe there were four women present. Anyway every one of them said, because we need a woman president. He then asked what qualifies her to be president. What are her credentials. None of them could answer that, but their response was again, because we need a woman president. We are in serious trouble, but too many people are too engrossed in their cell phones, etc. to look around, shut their mouths and open their eyes and ears to what is going on around them. Scares the hell out of me.
    Thanks for a great Blog.

    1. Your son got it right. Hillary qualifies because she's a woman. Obama qualified because he is "semi-black." That's how we pick our leaders now.

Hope you guys are doing fine and thank you for another great blog.

    1. Half the country has no idea what's happening and couldn't tell you who the vice-President is. The "true believers" will follow Obama all the way down.

  5. This is truly a perfect analogy. I only wish more of the non-thinkers in our country would realize where they put our country by voting this idiot in two times. I worry about our grandkids.

  7. Ralph! That was a great piece that you shared with everyone…..great and horrible at the same time, because it is so very true. It’s really hard to believe that we are now witnessing the free fall of America. I am starting to think we may not be able to turn this “ship” around. This next election is very, very important, and I’m rather pessimistic. I’m not sure there are enough Americans who are aware of the situation to vote the right person into the presidency. The press, other than Fox News and an occasional newscaster on other networks, is in the bag for liberal and ultraliberal politicians and causes. I will be forwarding this blog you posted to some friends who will undoubtedly send it on to other friends. Okay?

    1. Feel free to pass it on. I think it may be too late to turn the ship around and I'm certain if Hillary is President, it's all over.

    1. Look at the line-up on the republican side. That is a quality slate. And it includes a highly qualified woman.

Let me ask you who you would pick. . .

  9. Andrea Merkel in a heartbeat. Or Christine Lagarde. Either one. But there might have to be some slight revisions made to our electoral process.
Really looking forward to the August 6th Debate. I need a good laugh. It'll be on Comedy Central...I mean Fox.

  10. Well Ralpg, I just lost a long diatribe agreeing with the UAL pilot. Obama and his cronies have ripped this country to shreds by dilebertly pushing us into a bottomless pit of debt, firing our most competent military leaders, racial disharmony, and we have lost the respect of our former alies. It is hard for me to trust anyone employed by the federal government with their attitude of ownership of what used to be our land, the total inept management of federal lands. It is the old success of divide and conquer that Our current administration is using to reduce us to a crippled country ready for take over by any outside country with a full scrotum. The last step in preparing us for unfriendly take over and subjugation would be taking firearms to render us ineffective in protection of our Country.
By the way, my name is Mike Rice and I believe in taking responsibility for my rants.
